The depth of friendship can only be tested with time. Friends of yesteryear may wander and fade and even disappear. The fickle group and the trendy clique may provide comfort and a harbouring of emotion but as they flicker the true friend rumbles on, somewhere, like a freight train. The warm embrace of a friend overwhelms the senses and spins you. The passage of time has shrunk like a rubber band. Friendship is for always. When it awakens from its absence it is as fresh as it was new over thirty years ago. Happy Twenty Ten!
